Abstract

In juin 2015, a judge from Tocantins decided a case with a poem. Naturally, the form of the court decision aroused surprise reactions and the inevitable question: can a judge decide in verse? We try here to answer to this interrogation by attending to Law and Literature insights, possible precedents and legal framework and also by searching eventual poetics motivations.
