INTERSECTIONAL FEMINISM AND DECOLONIALISM: THE SOCIOLOGICAL DISCOURSE OF GENDER PREMISES

Abstract

In recent decades, analyzes of intersectional feminism have become part of decolonial studies. The attempt to minimize the feminine identity guided by the European link made the notion of race, class and gender to be fragmented in such a way that different analogies could be constructed in the face of regional epistemological discourses, especially by Sociology, which collaborated for the insurgency of the studies on decolonialism in a transnational way. Knowing this, the present study aims to analyze the way in which Modern Sociology unravels and dialogues with the intersectional feminist current. It starts with authors who consider in their studies the dynamics of gender, through the decolonial bias. It is clear, therefore, that the dynamics of development of decolonial studies tends to reflect the sociopolitical dynamics and structure of societies, but that it also serves as a tool for the analysis of minorities, especially the emancipation of subjects and social empowerment.
